Same method, same standards, delivered here. ## Our story From 1995 to 1997, Chuck Kepner and Matthys Fourie worked together on a modern approach to problem solving, and established Thinking Dimensions Global to take it to the world. The approach uses shared templates with structured questions to move a team through analysis quickly. The thinking behind it is simple: ask the right questions of the right people, and you get quality data instead of opinion. The method has been used by more than 850,000 subject matter experts worldwide, according to Thinking Dimensions Global, and the tools were developed on more than 120 years of combined real-world experience from the founders. ## Five linked thinking processes Each process works on its own, and each one can trigger another. PriorityWise might surface a core issue, which then goes to CauseWise to find the cause, to SolutionWise for a better way of correcting it, or to RiskWise to reduce the exposure while you work on it. - **ThinkingWise.** Identify the core issues in a vague situation, so the team is working on the right thing. - **PriorityWise.** Identify the core issues in a complex situation and prioritise them. Useful for deciding where to start with a major incident or a problem project. - **CauseWise.** Identify the technical cause and the root cause of an incident or problem. - **SolutionWise.** The MAX4™ format generates immediate solutions during an incident, and permanent solutions that remove the root cause. Two further formats support strategic work: making a choice, and creating a solution. - **RiskWise.** Find the blind spots that cause incidents, rollbacks and poor implementations.
