Privacy policy
Last updated: 24 September 2026
Thinking Dimensions Australia Pty Ltd, ABN 47 135 364 304, trading as Thinking Dimensions Australia & New Zealand and ThinkingSkills, is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we handle it, and what you can do about it.
We follow the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). The APPs govern how we collect, use, disclose, store, secure and dispose of personal information. You can read them at the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, oaic.gov.au.
What we collect
Personal information is information or an opinion that identifies you. We collect:
- Your name, email address, phone number, organisation and job title.
- What you tell us about your situation when you enquire, book a call or register for a workshop.
- Records of our work together, including correspondence, proposals and workshop materials.
- Website usage information, including pages visited and how you found us, through cookies and analytics.
We do not collect sensitive information as a matter of course. Sensitive information includes details about your health, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, trade union membership or criminal record. Where a workshop requires us to know about an access need or a dietary requirement, we collect only what is needed for that purpose and we keep it no longer than the engagement.
How we collect it
We collect personal information directly from you wherever we can: through forms on our websites at thinkingdimensions.com.au and thinkingskills.com.au, by email, by phone, in meetings and workshops, and when you book a call with us.
We may also collect information from publicly available sources such as your organisation's website or your LinkedIn profile, and from third parties such as a colleague who refers you or a client who registers you for a workshop. Where a third party gives us your details, we take reasonable steps to let you know.
Why we collect it
We use personal information to:
- Deliver the services you have asked for, including facilitation, workshops, coaching and online courses.
- Respond to enquiries and prepare proposals.
- Administer bookings, invoices and course access.
- Send you information about our services where you have asked for it or would reasonably expect it.
- Improve our websites and understand which content is useful.
You can unsubscribe from our marketing at any time using the link in any email, or by writing to us at the address below. Unsubscribing does not stop us contacting you about work we are doing together.
Cookies and analytics
Our website uses cookies, which are small files stored on your device. They let the site remember you between visits, and they tell us how the site is being used, for example which pages are visited and which links are followed. We use HubSpot for this.
You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings. Parts of the site, including forms, may not work properly if you do.
Who we share it with
We share personal information with:
- Service providers who help us run the business: our website and customer records system (HubSpot), our online learning platform (Thinkific), our email, document and file storage systems (Microsoft 365, including OneDrive and SharePoint), and our accounting system (MYOB), which our accountant also uses.
- Thinking Dimensions Global and its regional practices, where your engagement involves them.
- Subcontracted facilitators or trainers working with us on your engagement, under the same obligations that apply to us.
- Anyone else where you have consented, or where the law requires or authorises it.
We do not sell personal information.
Information stored or accessed overseas
Some of our service providers store or process information outside Australia.
Our HubSpot data is hosted in Australia. Thinkific, which runs our online courses, is a Canadian company and hosts customer and learner data in the United States. Microsoft 365 stores our email and documents in Australian data centres, with support access possible from other countries. Our accounting system, MYOB, is Australian.
Where we disclose personal information to an overseas recipient, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles, but we cannot control how the laws of another country may apply to it.
Security and how long we keep it
We store personal information in systems protected by access controls and passwords, and we take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
We keep client records for a minimum of 7 years, which reflects our tax and professional obligations. When information is no longer needed, we destroy it or permanently de-identify it.
Accessing and correcting your information
You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and you can ask us to correct it if it is wrong or out of date. Write to us at the address below. We do not charge for an access request, though we may charge a reasonable administrative fee for producing a copy. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.
We will respond within 30 days. If we refuse a request, we will tell you why in writing.
Complaints
If you think we have mishandled your personal information, contact us first, using the details below. We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 business days and respond within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner: oaic.gov.au, or 1300 363 992.
